its me again, whats ur opinion on this helmet? I looking for an 100% original but its hard to find one.

If you want an original, this is not it. There is nothing pre- May 1945 here.

I agree with Terry.
I'm not strong on authenticating M38 helmets but could see this was bad immediately.

Those tool marks are an obvious giveaway before even considering the rest of the helmet.

Smear a helmet with grain mash and let the chickens loose on it - and voila, you end up with this!!!

I also saw that one on eBay and immediately passed on, and guess for how much it sold..
1250€
Too much cash, too little knowledge with a lot of people on eBay.

Luis, thanks for the update. Can’t believe it went for that although to the untrained eye and someone that really wants an M38 it may have seemed a bargain. What a shame - that money could have bought something really nice and proved why posting first is an absolute must.
