M38 Para Without Liner

This turned up at Swedish Ebay. Is it just me who thinks it looks like artificial rust? Is it any possibillity that at least the shell is original?

Some close-up pictures of the inner rim and the shell stampings would be nice but I do not like the looks of this one. Never seen one with a rim crease like that. It is not the flared rim you occasionally see on some late war no decal shells, but it may be trying to imitate that. Overall, the shape of the shell itself is a little off.

I,m not sure its a rim crease but a shadow mark left by some form of covering, but the overall condition looks off somehow, it might help to see the makers mark and lot number
