Default Fallschirmschützen Abzeichen by Imme & Sohn Original? Help needed

    Hello and good evening,

A few weeks ago I got all awards from the family of a former german Fallschirmjäger. One of the awards is of course a Fallschirmschützen Abzeichen made by Imme & Sohn. The weight of the badge is 36,17 Gramm. The dimensions are approximately 5,2 x 4,2 cm. It would be great to get some information about this badge from the forum? Sorry about the artificial light which change the color of the badge a little bit.

Many thanks for the moment and warm regards, Fernspaeher

Hello I think it holds up well compared to this example Ade posted previously, while his had a replaced pin I think the similarities are there. Good detail and wonderful finish, similar curvature of eagle, the small bubble-like texture condition of the finish, small thin HK, round wire catch etc.. Also another example of the makers mark from German daggers for comparison. If you have other items from this soldier I think I speak for all when I say we d love to see more. Welcome to the forum. Best regards.

Looks like a nice Type D "fletchless" wing type.

Looks minty. I see nothing wrong. But as a novice on Para Awards I'm willing to be corrected.

The only anomaly I see is that the upper portion of the wing in the foreground on your example has crosshatch indentations compared to the example Ade posted. Perhaps photo quality, perhaps I'm overthinking it. But I ll wait for others opinions.

    Default Badge under daylight condition

One more photo of the badge under daylight conditions. It's proven that this Fallschirmjäger fought at the Monte Casino and in Afrika. If the forum would like to see his awards which are in a frame behind glas I would be glad to post them. Anyway many thanks for your help!!

    Regards Georg
