Hi guys, hope you are all great. Looking at this old thread and as I stated bought it, despite the fact that the catch had been replaced. Now, inspecting the badge, I have noticed that the maker s mark is upside down, could that be a mistake made while manufacturing it?

The maker mark is acceptable being inverted, there are others out there similarly marked. Looking now at the better pic's of the hinge in the open position I would like to change my previous opinion and say on this evidence both it and the pin are original and may have been sloppily soldered during production at the factory. The catch is still a replacement for me though.
