My opinion a fake that you think?

What are the markings on the rear of the buckle, they are normally marked CTD
Ben
This is a good buckle. It should be marked Ges Gesch CTD for Dicke as Ben suggested. You can just make out the Ges. This crank catch is pretty standard for the Dicke Night Watchman buckles.

The old ones should have the inscription on the inner of the inset front as:
Reicheinheitsverband des Deutschen Bewachungsgewerbes e.V. Berlin
maker mark are available but the bad photo is badly visible maker mark. The photo is made by me hastily at the dealer. Maker mark I can specify tomorrow. As I have understood your opinion the original.
You can make out the Ge , the buckle is probably marked Ges Gesch CTD, but as been said it is original
Ben
Here are two buckles mentioned in this trhead. Both are by Dicke.
With that said I am a bit confused by wilhelm's comment on the Berlin marked buckle. I always thought that this was for another "Watchman's" guild and had nothting to do with when it was produced. The Berlin buckle is quite scarce but that could be due to the smaller guild . Maybe I am totally wrong on this. Would appreciate some further input from other members.
Hello,
yes Ben also in my eyes this is a wartime variation but still known what wim means . But in my opinion this within inscription is earlyer made .
