    Default U-Boat dive angle indicator?

Is anyone familiar with u-boat operations items? Is this a dive angle indicator? I was told it came from the wreckof u-74 off the coast of Spain.

If it is real, it certainly has seen the rough side of a sander or some wet and dry paper, but overall it looks too me that the printing is all over the place and roughly done

It does not inspire me with any confidence. I don't like it at all. Much too crude for my liking.

    Cheers, Ade.

I was able to find a man in Norway who is an expert in WWI - WWII submarine technology, and from the photo he was able to verify that this was a DIVE ANGLE INDICATOR from a German U-boat.
