Thanks guys for your pointers...unfortunately these links I've already found. They're all to do with the small "cube" generators that seem to be everywhere - this is the big brother/cousin of it as a 2KVA power-source. The main body of the generator with the end casting attached I can just about lift solo....that's a totally empty casing. Fully assembled it's a two man struggle...or a four man comfortable lift - it's the main reason I didn't pass this one by......it's undoubtedly WWII German.......but a rare beast. The engine is a 125CC engine I believe Datrus. If you can find even the smallest picture of one in service.....or find a link to one somewhere..........i'd be extremely grateful for it.

I will try to find some. I know adjustment for the breaker contact is 0.4mm.

Didn't achieve much today (life gets in the way of hobbies occasionally), but did manage to get the primary fan bead-blasted......along with the front casing.........and electrical console housing. The last item I think was held together by paint. As it was being blasted, one of the spot-welded seams popped open......so that's something I have to arrange to get done, FIRST......I have to find somebody with spot-welding equipment!German generator[ATTACH=CONFIG]

Theo........GREAT stuff.......helping me track it down now. MY Generator is an EL201 (OK..the list says it was made until 1941....and mine is '42) but it's a start. The manufacturer of mine is STILL in Hamburg, the motor is DKW/Auto-Union Chemnitz, and it's a 125CC single cylinder engine.
    Much appreciated Theo

I have been looking literally for hours. Also on Danish web sites. I have tried to type in "DKW type BL201" and came up with this site Alle DKW Modelle 1922 - 1958 At least they seem to know something about DKW models and so on. I have tried many other combinations. You have a rare generator my friend, or we do not have right info to search on. I have also tried to "invent" my own models. The small one is a KL100, and then i tried KL125. Nothing... I have tried a lot of strange combinations. I do recognize the company STILL which is mentioned on one of the plates. They produce equipment of all sorts. Maybe they know what they did in 1942? STILL Germany: forklift trucks, warehouse handling equipment, intralogistics

This is the best i can do. Write to STILL. I think this is your best chance my friend.

Well.......all the Danish sites I typed "generator" into turned out to be porn sites, and while I HAVE already contacted STILL.............still(excuse the play on words)..nothing. I'll keep searching and keep plugging away. The generator is 95% complete........so I'lll finish it off and maybe add the finishing touches AS and WHEN I get them.
THANKS for your effort.......I do appreciate it,

    Mike

Started the rebuild today. Despite re-finishing it in the colours it originally was (IE front motor-casing in LuftBlau....and the rest in Ordinance tan)......I think the combination looks crap. Opinions.........should I just paint the whole thing in ordinance tan........or keep is as originally it was painted?
