2 Breadbags & 1 Unknown...
These barn-finds arrived from Germany yesterday, and still have that dank, musky smell that reminds me of my relic-hunting days in Gemany as a youngster...One Breadbag has been field-modified with a 1940-dated carrying strap sewn and riveted to the bag while the other is untouched and overall in great shape too!
The Breadbags were found along with a canvas bag I'm not familiar with, I'm hoping one of our members can help me identify it...I has two unusual twist-latches on the flap, and it appears that there was once a carrying handle attached, now missing...Along the length of the top there is a metal "spine" where the handle would have been placed...I've had no luck finding another like it, the seller thinks it's for a field telephone, but I'm not so sure about that now...

I'm leaning toward the bag with the twist catches being a civilian piece. I've seen them in different configurations with similar hardware used with civilian bags for things like cameras and camera gear. NH
