    Hey Guys -

Just got my hands on this early 1942 dated 2 cm ammo box. Original paint still present on the metal parts and the metal insert is not missing (like they do a lot of times). Looks to be a "WaA 666" ink stamp inside the metal insert. (Not on my WaA list)
I can't make out the marking - maybe "kpe" or "kpc" (?) 1942

Nice ammo crate. Congrats on the pick up.

Can you make out any number under the Adler stamp in the wood? If the maker code is "kpe" it is likey - Berchtold & Co., Metallwarenfabrik, Tuttlingen

Thanks - unfortunately, I can't make out anything under the Adler - and the marking is actually "kpb 1942".
Also, what does "Kauritlem" (?) means?
Today the box arrived, I've cleaned it - looks almost new-like.

Fabe, I looked at ordnance codes and I don't find a maker for "kpb" or maker for the metal liner of WaA666. I also am not sure of the meaning of Kauritlem or is it Kauritlein. I cannot make it out in the picture. Thanks for sharing

According to my code book 'kpb' is Ziegler, Karl, Mobelfabrik, Rockenhausen / Pfalz.

I also looked az some on-line code pages, but I guess they need to be updated.
    Also can't find WaA 666...

Ok, I've cleaned the box (just needed a good wipe) & took some photos. As you can see, i'm keeping some of my field gear stuff in it...
    Cheeers,
    Fabe
