8cm mortar belt worn spares kit from Jersey, Channel Islands.

This is a fairly complete belt worn spares kit for the 8cm mortar. This was an item I picked up about 10 years ago and to be honest have not seen many others kicking around the Island. We had quite a few of these 8cm mortars as well as the 5cm's.
All of this sort of kit was left behind at the end of the Occupation. During the big clear up such items were gathered up and taken out to sea and dumped in very deep water or sealed up in the German tunnels that exist here on the Island. Unfortunately after 65+ years all the kit in the tunnels has rusted away into oblivion. Not sure how common this item is but its a lovely piece of kit.

Did you spot the deliberate mistake? It's the kit for the 5cm and not the 8cm, I will have to post pics of that one later on. Same thing goes thought... it's a great piece of kit.
