About 100 Euros more but it's in excellent condition. Yes it's a radio pack.

    Hello,
There should be a large number (1, 2 or 3) made of leather sewn on the front part.
Maybe it was unsewn, any sign of it ?
    Thanks

As pics speak louder than words: I know we have images somewhere on the forum, but could not find them off hand, so here is one care of Weitze.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks Ade

It looks like it, but i am not too sure. The fur/hairs seem to be a little different in this area. Unless the stitches went all the way though the canvas also, which i doubt, i will have to look really hard to see if i can find signs of old stitches under the hairs.

These skin is from horses right?

As far as I know the fur was horse hair: I don't know if other fur was used?

    Cheers, Ade.

As far as I know the fur was not a horse but a cow? Germans do not eat horses (or at least Germans in northen part do not eat) so it is impossible to get horse skin in such large quantities to make backpacks for 10 million soldiers.
