I've been looking to get a pair of the universal celluloid dust goggles to mount on my AK pith helmet and there seems to be no shortage of them on ebay. Now I know ebay is generally to be avoided becuase of the amount of fakes but i wonder if anybody is going to the bother of faking these? Many of the sellers claim to have found them in surplus stores which sounds reasonable to me.

Here is a couple of shots of a pair available for $15 that I might get, its not the biggest investment in the world but i'd still rather a genuine pair over a copy.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these?

    Hi Glenn, these are plentyfull.
However copys are starting to appear in force. From what i have learned on these, the trick is in the stitches between the lens.
All i can say from these photos, they appear good but nothing more.

    Cheers
    Nuno

They're fine Glenn. Check out ebay as well, here's a set going for pennies that finish in a couple of hours, and there's links to others that are cheap too.

    Thank you gentlemen!

Nuno, what is it about the stitching that needs to be looked at?
