Default bakelite cannister - Kart Vorl H13

Found this bakelite cannister at antiques show - 6 inch diameter by 6.5 inch tall. marked Kart Vorl H13 on top with 1940 date on inside of top and in bottom along with a code stamp of 2X S. I searched forum and see a similar one is a member's collection but nothing saying what it was used for. Any ideas?

Appears to be a fuze holder for 88 mm or some type of artillery projectile these were all around here while back. Not a expensive item IMA International Military Antiques had them here while back. tiimothy

These can go for around $35 from what I've seen, where the more
common 'Zunderbuchse' conical type are less - $15-$20.........
