I got these at a yard sale many yrs. ago. They have a thick protective (hard) coating on them,are green, and these are the only markings. Any ideas where they were used and by who (nation) and about what yr.?

I second that, this is a pair of WWI Fernglas 08 from the german army in its original finish, but they may be modified a bit, i don't remember if the eyepieces were made like this on the previous binos of this type i've seen...

You's gave me the correct term to look it up. This is the photo off the net. They are WW1 Galilei binoculars. First ordered up in 1908 foe use with German infantry squad leaders and used till around 1917. Thanks again!
