Hi, does anyone know if this is marked as a period piece? Have no knowledge of these items. Have just seen the thread pertaining to bakelite markers list so will ask seller if he can forward picture of mark. Overall condition is very good excepting for the covering on the binoculars that is somewhat perished. Any idea of cost would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Regards Tom

Thanks Ade. Not knowing anything about these items, who would have used this? Would this have been issued to infantry troops?

Hi Tom, these are general service binos. An Infantry officer would have typically carried them and they would be fine for a display with a mannequin done as an Officer.

Do a search on 6x30 dienstglas and you will find some for sale.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade, where can I find more info on makers codes for bakelite items? I have read your sticky about the subject, but it only shows the makers as represented by numbers. Mine has maker as 'OF'. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
