    Default CAG Ordnance Tan Binoculars

Well I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay the money for a set of well used CAG Ordnance tan binoculars. I do have a soft spot for everything ordnance tan, and have been wanting a set like this for ages. For some reason though I wanted to hold out for a CAG set, as I prefer the maker. Optics are nice and clear and they have a degree scale in the right lens, though its not as clear as it used to be. The set didnt come with a strap, I found that a couple of days after the purchase on Ebay, nicely used and maker marked, dated 1937 (though it hard to read, could be 1934)

Now I just need to find a good case for a reasonable price, as all the little extras like the yellow filter covers for the lenses.

    Cheers
    Jason

Nice set and good you could find a strap. As well as the case you might want to get the button hanging strap as well one day.

Actually I saw one the other week, but they dont come up very often and go for quite high prices. I think its gonna be right place at the right time for one.

I am working on a helmet Dave, time will tell mate.

Jerry, last I remember they were up to $70 but didn't see the end of the auction. Havent gone looking through dealers yet though. I got the strap for $55 posted though which I was happy with
