Nice box but camo boxes are usually pre WWII made.
THX, yes, I liked the box, for it was in a good shape, and could keep some of my field-gear in it...I don't mind that it's pre-war made. My guess would be 1930's(?)
The K17 was a WW1 canon, but was used in WW2 as well - I think Coast-Guard, and in Afrika, etc.
The cost was 75 EU.
There is nothing bad it is pre WWII made - actually pre WWII made boxes and all other field gear are much better made! And of course these items were used in WWII also. 75 euros is a pretty good price - not too cheap but OK.
As can be seen on the side its has a maker mark of HB and dated 35. This is a similar camo to the metal mag boxes for the MG.13.
yes, def. the same camo...:
considering, that the box is 78 years old, it's in a really good shape - virtually all the paint is still on - even on the handles. it was shipped from Germany, and I always have this fear, that the wood will get damaged, etc., but thankfully it was a good pack job.
