hi,
it is the same as the other gas mask canisters around, feels the same metal and also the same weight as them, it has been repainted in panzer grey paint, there are no other markings on it as far as i can see,
seen one that looked like it on the web but cannot remamber where,
any ideas??
Reichswehr maybe? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Hello,
Neither Reichswehr nor Luftschutz. It has the M30 canister lid, but it is too long for a M30 canister. It seems that it doesn't have the medium loop for the carrying strap, so it's not period military. The "MEDI" stamping on the M30 lid and the length of the canister lead me to believe that it could be a postwar civilian gasmask for factories. There was no canister with these features in the TR.

its the same length as a normal size can, has the strap that goes around the shoulders and the one to fastern it to the belt, everything is the same but the design of the can.
ill try and dig out the pic i found, early war keeps coming to mind but not sure why mmm

Hello Baxter,
All TR gasmask canisters are well known and this one is not one of them...sorry for this. The problem is that it has the length of a M38 canister and the lid of a M30 canister....
