Canteen Help

Hello! I'm new and I have a question on a canteen I found.

First, I found this at my local Goodwill for 2 bucks. My Dad collects American Military items from WWII, and recognized the canteen to be German, but it is not marked. I have it up on Ebay, I don't really want to keep it, but didn't want it to sit at goodwill.

I'm attaching the image here. If anyone has any ideas, that would be very helpful for me!

I think it is a wwii swiss canteen. not 100% sure though.
