All looks fine to me, typical to see the green cup with the red interior, though some have the bakelite cups.

It looks fine. There should be some stamps on the bottle behind the webbing.

There is a debate about this subject, but no period images exist -to my knowledge- showing them in use in Africa, though plenty exist showing them in Europe. However, these have been known as DAK canteens since the war and there must be some basis in fact for this to have occurred and also some well known collectors have stone cold solid Vet bring back provenance examples from Africa. So they probably were used in Africa, but unless an example has a known history that places it in Africa, they can only be considered to be Coconut canteens. Very nice they are, I have one in my collection.
