Coconut canteen with leather/web straps

Hi Guys - second canteen question this week...

I just saw this 1942 coconut canteen - only these 3 pics for now - it has a strap I have not seen before; a leather / webbing combo - does this look OK to you?

It is a modification/reparation and the cup is not what you expect to get with such a canteen....

the asking price is 30 EU - the seller said: "I'm selling this for 30 EU, for the cup is from another German canteen." - still sound like a good deal to me...

ah, I wrote before reading this...so you say this is a "repaired" strap then...

Hello,
As you can see on the photo below, the leather strap is too short and the bucke is not german.
This kind of mix leather/web has been made by producers, but the leather part is ALWAYS at the bottom of the canteen.

No way of knowing when the repair was made. Cup looks East German. NH

And for the "body" alone I think 30 euro is too much... as JP stated, straps are messed with (and I doubt it is a wartime repair to be honest)
