They are original, war time goggles.

I agree. I searched for a while for a pair of these and I've picked up two now.
They look exactly as these do except the leather is dark brown and the strap is mid-brown. The leather usually has this nasty patent finish which looks repro... but it isn't. The often come with a 'crocodile' effect leather pouch also with the same patent finish.
I've seen them with rubber surround instead of leather also.

    Yep, they are perfectly ok

    Here a few of mine

With paper note, and one with spare glases ! (Which could be made to be correct for a wearer of glasses

And last a picture of them in use. (Picture from Signal)

I must have another picture of them , being worn by a kradmelder, but i have to dig through all of my Signals...

Thanks for the great info- those are two really nice sets you have there. I ended up not going for them in the end, they'd have cost me £65 which wasn't including the paper instructions. Thanks.

    Hello,
I must say that £65 is a bit expensive, but there is one thing that must be taken into account, the ones with grey leather frame and clear glass (not tinted) are the less encountered type on the market.
    Expensive but not so common
    Thanks

I'll keep this in mind if I see any for sale again! Thanks

Personally i think £65 is OK - i've seen a lot of these for sale and most are around this price. Mine were 55 euro.
I've also seen them £80+ on some well known sites - too much IMO.
