    Default FF33 Field Phones

Here are my two FF33 field phones - both marked 1944. One is complete and only missing the strap, while the other is missing the crank and white test button along with the strap.
One headset has the damaged from being improperly stored when lid was closed, one case has a small chunk missing. Other than that pretty nice condition.
If anybody has spare crank and test button - I am looking for those :-) From what I seen carrying straps are not easy to find, but if anybody has one - let me know.

    Thanks,
    George

I seen them on ebay from $60 to $400 - depending the seller :-) Postage ads up as they are heavy.
Most are missing cranks and straps are almost always missing.
Seen only few with batteries for sale.
Also there is some post-war ones as they used post-war by different nations with different phonetic alphabet plates.
Post-war straps are easily found - I am pretty sure the ones on your phone are post-war BW.

I really like all the "old style" field phones. Not just the German ones, although they are nice too.

There is just something about the level of craftsmanship and the relative simplicity of the electronics that make them work that appeals to me.
I have several, functional, field phones from various countries. Only downside is, that they are bloody heavy when shipped by mail.

Old communication equipment is very interesting.
My friend who saw the phones called them "schwere einphones" :-)

Watch out, these FF33'ers are addictive

Od course I wouldn't be me if I didn't have an assortment of FF33 and accesories

Here some pictures of a few phones I have

Tan (1944) one with a rare webbing strap (and battery of course)
On the background the original Heeres Druckvorschrift (manual) for the FF33

And on the right a "normal" black one with leather strap, SB aufsatz and the head set (Kopffernhörer 33) (also with manual)

Of course everything in working order....

I also have the groundspikes, FF33 for Kriegsmarine with special adapter for "Sprechgerät"

And if I'm not mistaken I have a spare strap for the FF33
