    There were Many different makers, so several types were made.

    Very nice , thanks for showing! These are a nice inexpensive item to collect (apart fron SS marked ones of course)

    Hello,
    There was only 2 types of field dressings produced for the german soldier, a small and a big one. Those issued to soldiers and meant to be carried in the internal pocket of the Feldlbuse did have an extra layer of cloth/string (photos #3 and 4), those meant to go in Sanitäter pouches or in Kasten didn't have the extra layer of cloth (photos #1 and 2)....
    Of course there are some variations in sizes...
