Default FN Browning Hi Power (GP35) Pistole 640(b) holster

Hi Guys, while at a show last weekend I picked up a nice find for a great price. A holster for the FN made Browning Hi Power / GP35 semi auto pistol. Known to German forces as the Pistole 640(b). These often saw service with the Fallschirmjager and the Waffen SS, but not exclusively.

The condition is very good and shows some nice useage where the pistol and spare magazine once sat. Just how I like to collect items.

It is maker marked and dated "dla 43" (Karl Barth, Militaereffekten-Fabrik, Waldbroehl, Rheinland) is additionally WaA 195 marked, which is correct for this maker.

    Cheers, Ade.

    nice job Ade,
Gosh it looks almost identicle to my holster, is there an eagle and swas under the little flap to button it?

Hi Guys, thanks for the kind comments. I was really pleased to find this. I cannot remember the last time I bought something German?

Hi Patrick, there are no other markings on it, which is conventional for this pattern of holster.

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade very nice holster it is a real shame that you can't fill it with a working pistol. Gary

Hi Gary, I know.....but for second best I do have a wartime Canadian Inglis made Hi Power which fits perfectly. I need to buy a German produced one now. Good excuse anyway!

    Cheers, Ade.

The only markings I found on the holster I found for my German Hi-Power are the initials H.W. (or M.W.?) inside the flap.

And here's the full rig with pistol.

    Great holster, Ade.

It looks fantastic on my screen - light wear, hardly used at all.
Here is the correct type pistol to put in it........
