    Hi guys,

I just picked up this nice original gasmaskendose. I have a few questions about it.

    1. What is the maker 'ago'?

    2. What does the 'D' stamped on the bottom on the can indicate?

    3. It's named to a 'Gretl', which is obviously a female name. Were these types of cans issued to women?

    Thanks!

As for being issued to females, they would have been carried by flak helferin and nurses etc!....

And only if the rubber seal in the lid is present ( most are not as they perished and fell out )
