The date looks to be a later stamp to me and not original to the item

To me, the date looks like it's added later....

Also it looks like a small WaA stamp as used on small weapon parts....
I've onle seen the bigger WaffenAmt stamps on equipment

So these look like fake stamps to me, sorry

Also I can't read the maker mark...... can you read it and mention it here ?

It is missing the retainer strap. Manufacturer was based in Austria. It may be TR era but the stampings do look suspicious. Here is the marking on the blade "Akadem. Pickel Meister F. Ralling Fulpmes." As Akadem suggests, this would be a school version of the ice axe. As far as I know, civilian gear was mixed into military use with this kind of specialty item. NH

Thanks a lot for the contribution! I am not 100% comfortable with the stamps (especial the Waa).

There are better examples out there for sure. Did you get a price on this one? NH

    Around 200 euros

What would be a fair price for a good one?

Oh dear - 200 Euros is way too much for this example. I have not purchased an original Eispickel in 10 years. Last time I saw one for sale it was around 175 US dollars. Someone else may have a more current value - 225 US most likely. Of course, this is only a guess. NH
