    Default Gebirgsjäger Goggles

My collection of Gebirgsjäger Mountain Troop goggles.

    Are they German or Italian?

Not sure why they are different in style?

Some thing to do with snow "glare" I suppose

Trying to find the little tins that houses the other two pair..

Never use them as it never snows

Although a few years ago, I did take out the "Crows Feet" slit type Goggles, when it did snow.

They offered a good clear view in the bright cold sunshine. No snow glare either.

    Quite surprised actually..

I think it's a Swiss Army example of 30-40s period; the manufacturer of black goggles example is "F.lli Pagani" factory in Mendrisio (Switzerland), but the company had its headquarters in Milano (Italy).
Below you can see a flashlight produced by the same manufacturer for the Swiss army.

    regards
    Roberto
