    Thank you Ade! I was not sure because the closing straps are both fixed with two metal bolts instead of stitched

    Just a manufacturers variation. Sometimes seen horizontal as well.

    Yes original M1911 ammunition pouches as produced from the middle war...
    An interesting feature can be seen in these photos...anyone with a guess ?

    Nope....sorry...
    IMO it's a badly shaped D-ring...nothing noticeable here i'm afraid...
    Four more tries, then i'll give the answer...
    The winner, if a winner there is as Yoda would say, will be offered a nice original Wehrmacht artefact...yes...a free original item...however dont expect a DD helmet or a pair of Marschstiefel, but when it's free it's always satisfying to add a little something to the collection, yes right there in the cabinet, between this Iron Cross and this pair of shoulderstraps...
