    Looking for following WWII German items:
    - anything dealing with Allenstein (Olsztyn) and Wehrkreis I in East Prussia,
    - entrenching tool carrier (straight and folding),
    - forestry and hunting items,

    It is naval piece imo.

    I have not got the slightest clue what it is, but I really like it. I agree naval, with the 'M' under the eagle.

    Could this be an Inclinometer,to show how many degrees the ship is rolling side to side?

    Could be, but I think inclinometers are usually a gauge.
