    Default German Canteen identification

    Hey guys,
I recently bought a German Canteen, and I wanted to see what you guys think of it. Other then a couple holes In the fabric, it’s in relatively decent condition.
It has the marks HWSD41, and a four point mark on the buttons, as well as a latch that I would assume a German soldier would attach to his belt.
    Any info would be appreciated!

The maker HWSD stands for H.W.Schmidt, Metallwarenfabrik, Döbeln.

Hard to tell much from these photos. They are very dark. The cover and leather appear to be quite heavily worn / salty. Is that a pin going through the leather tab? Appears to be aged so maybe a field repair.

Original feldflasche in unloved, well worn condition. Value is subjective depending on whether you collect mint unused examples of care worn relics. In the case of assessing value I would suggest that Mr Google is your friend.
