German civil gasmask, with used filter in a Danish canister
Nice piece of history,I got this german civil gasmask, with used filter in a Danish canister with the logo Dagmarhus it. Dagmarhus was the HQ for gestapo in Denmark. The german gasmask might have been used during the war together with the Danish canister, we will neve know. The canister also has an old Falck (ambulance and road assistance service) logo.
During WWIIand the occupation the building Dagmarhus occupied by the Germans and was in1943 the German headquarters together with Shell House where the Gestapo had adepartment. Thetrapped Danish resistance fighters who Gestapo got hold of , were transferredto the Shell Building where they were tortured.
Falck A/S wasfounded in 1906 by Sophus Falck. By the year 1956 Falck was a nation-wideoperator with 100 rescue stations in Denmark, and the company expanded furtherseven years later by acquiring the shares of the Zonen rescue service, their mainDanish road assistance competitor.

Germangasmask with Filter, it is in good condition, it shold be a 1939 model, with a Danishcanister from Dagmarhus
The rubber is in good, flexible condition. Theeyes lenses are yellowed, and the eye lenses have stamp Innen 39- on them. Thereis a number 3/ 391 and a Dräger prof stamp at the inner side of the gasmask. Thegreen woven straps are still present, and the number 2 molded in the metalwhere to fix the filter.
