    Default German Field Phones

    Hi guys,

These were my first purchases of 2011. I got them dirt cheap, fresh out of the attic, and they are really a great addition to my overall display. When I finish putting everything together I'll post pictures of my entire collection for you all.

One phone has a 1937 dated box and a 1937 dated phone. The other has a 1936 dated box and a 1941 dated phone.

If you look at the two white boxes on the top, the codes are different. How often were these changed? I thought the Germans would have kept it standard, especially in the pre-war years.

The '36 phone had a piece of the instructions for the battery inside!

    Enjoy,

    Hello,
    They're great M33 german field phones...congrats...
The first one posted has even a number painted on the side.
I once owned a example that had "Feind Hört mit" painted on the lid.
Thanks for sharing, sorry if i can't help you out regarding the codes for letters...
The "Pertrix" piece of paper is a real plus here....
    Thanks
