German mess tin question
This mess kit came with a group of items and its got me puzzled. The lid, pot, bales, and all rivets are aluminum, and both handles are steel. The pot has the three ration grooves of the earlier models and it seems accurate in design and dimensions but has no maker marks or numbers anywhere. Is this a reproduction or an unmarked original? Be glad for any input. Thanks Steve

It is an unmarked original messkit such as produced until at least 1943.
It looks like this one was Dark green factory painted, and repainted in olive green at some time.
