Default German mess utensil relic after cleaned up

I got this eating utensil in a relic lot a few years back from a forum member. I'm not quite sure wether it's a fork or spoon handle, though. It was in horrible condition and barely recognizable . I did some work on it today after finding it in my drawer and I think it came out ok. The pitting was pretty bad as you can see , also there was some kind of calcium build up.I dug out the rot and filled it with silver enamel to seal and 'conceal' the damage. I also put black paint in the recesses so the marks show up clearly. I know it seams silly to spend time on such am arbitrary item but I was bored and I like it.
Also, it was found on the Kurland battlefield . The date is marked '41' and above is marked 'LGK&F'.

Definitely a spoon or fork - mess item probably - re-purposed by a soldier?

I used a very fine grade sandpaper to polish it. I almost want to turn it into art/ trench art or jewelry. I may just leave it, as it was at a major battle in history. Suggestions are welcome.

    -Update-
Thanks bro! I think it was just broken.
