There's one on the 'digging in Kurland ' thread (if I remember correctly) found buried in mud, but still intact. Ill see if I can pull the image up.

Thanks man. There are several indicators it is original, such as chain stitching. My friend has one who's grandpa brought back from Italy. Even has a period photo of his grandpa with the pennant. So, I am kind of split on this. The fabric is very rough feeling, not like the brushed smooth fabric used in repos, but they remake everything many different ways.
Yeah, an 'in hand' inspection is always best.
Also, I tried to save the image of the one on the ' digging Kurland' thread, but I was able to. If you got that thread, check out page 15 and post #143. Not sure if its the same, but similar.
