Is this the real deal or a fake.I Was told it was a trainning grenade dated 1939 the head is very heavy.

I have seen a training grenade for sale once and the head looks diffrent, But hey, I dont know

Looks like a modern replica of the M24 Stgr. You can still buy these. An original practice stick grenade looks a lot diffent, and doesn't have the text "VOR GEBRAUCH SPRENGKAPSEL EINSETZEN" printed on them. Some practice sticks are made of plain wood withoput paint, some are made of wood with lead and again no paint, and some have a small charge with holes in the head. These are painted red.
