Thank you Steve! Someone told me on another site, that this is a postwar German shovel. (Just waiting for some replies, cause I don't want to be clever afterwards) Can you tell me then, that what kind of shovel is this exactly?

Sorry but I do not recognize the shovel accept I am sure it is not a wartime army issued item.

Yep! That will be the correct answer. Another person told me the same also that it's a postwar East German shovel Now that's 4:0 to the shovel. I'm happy that my money was saved..

the seam weld is a trademark of the East German one - WW2 ones were spot welded.
Looking for following WWII German items:
    - anything dealing with Allenstein (Olsztyn) and Wehrkreis I in East Prussia,
    - entrenching tool carrier (straight and folding),
    - forestry and hunting items,

It is the shovel you use when you are knee deep in someone else's bull$hit.
