German WW2 mess tin, to nice to be real?

    Hello,
    As no one did mention this interesting detail, i do it...this maker was among the rare ones that used the riveted molded pieces in aluminium to hold the wire handle until the end of the war...
    Usually at this time, those pieces were flat, welded and made of steel...

    haha.... correct , btw, all steel kvu ones also existed, so I guess they finished their aluminium stock in 44 and then switched to steel

    and indeed, I didn't mention the equipment strap....

    I was at work when answering this thread, and was called away for an emergency

    Also this one has the 3 letter code (small letters kvu) instead of normally the abbreviation of the maker in capitals...

    I don't have my letter code book at hand, but maybe someone knows the maker right away.....
