German WWII Carl Zeiss Instrument for Flak 88mm ?

Hello,

I have this WWII instrument where I am wondering about what it in fact was used for and what it is. I have done some research on it and I think it has to do with the Flak 88 mm.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you will need an artillery expert to fully explain it's function but a semi educated guess would say it's related to range and altitude of moving targets. I wait with interest as well.

I thought it was a range finder at first, but l am really not sure, also what it is really called. So I will look forward to receiving some input on it.
