SRB, I don't usually comment on things like this, but I felt I had to. You're not doing yourself any favours here, I've found everyone here since I've joined very friendly and extremely helpful, well worth paying the WRF club membership. No one here gets paid to help you, so as my mother used to say, manners cost nothing ... This site is worth its weight in gold and you will gain more from it then you give, from basically some of the best experts on the subject of TR militaria you're ever lkely to come across ... that's my two ' penneth worth anyway.

    Hello Gentlemen,
As i dont like very much the tone of this thread, i'm going to close it down.
Prior to do so, i'll comment on this canteen, which is in poor condition considering it's incomplete and its web strap is not great either...personaly i would never buy it, which gives you an idea of the value i give to this item. In my opinion, there's no need to talk about numbers with this example of "coconut" canteen.

Free appraisal or not free appraisal, that's the question (sorry i dont hold a skull while typing this)...
I have no problem to give a free appraisal when i'm inspired with an item...i mean when it's worth it and could make a collector/member happy....

SRB : please remember that the value of an item is subjective.
By the way, your avatar is awful...
    Thanks
