I know where the P.08 (x2) that i should have inherited from my grandfather are : buried in the garden of a house that doesn't belong to my family anymore, in another country....too bad...

I should have inherited a Luger also, but mine got traded for a bottle of whiskey before it could make the trip back to America. As my stepfather said, "Lugers were everywhere but whiskey was hard to find!"

That medal is a Marksman Badge, not a Combat Infantry Badge. I have his CIB which he turned into a bracelet with his name and serial number. Here's a pic of the back and the maker's stamp (?) and date.

The badge has nothing to do with being a marksman.
It is an Infantry badge. When included with a wreath it is a Combat Infantry Badge.
Hell Ade beat me to it.
