Gussstahl Pocket Knife - is this military issue or personal buy
This knife was in a case at an antiques shop and just the look of it I said I think is is German. When I got it open it is marked Gussstahl Solingen. The wood handle is very similar to type and style I have seen on the German gravity knife. Would this have been from the 1930's-1945 and issued to german soldier or possibly private purchase and used in the service? Or is this much later commercial knife?

Pretty simple design. It could be from the 50's or 60's
- anything's possible - but most low end pocket knife
handles were plastic by then. It's also very clean so
wasn't used much, if at all. Good eye.........
Military type would have the stripper cutting edge at the bottom of the blade. Not sure on period but it could be war time. No matter, a very nice little find you got there. NH
