    Default Help ID these gloves

These were picked up as part of a large lot. I have tried to ID them but with no joy. The owner said they were German but, I have seen nothing like them previously. I would hazard a guess at dispatch rider gloves. I cannot say whether they are of wartime period or not. Can anyone help shed any light on them?

booboo252...I have a similiar pair, but maker marked (German) and dated 1917, they are for I believe "Artillerymen" for handling spent shell cases, these cases will still be hot ! and for loading, hence the need for mittens, it isnt a tricky job so again mitten type gloves would do the job !
    Hope that helps.
    Prost ! Steve.
