Default Help with K98 cleaning kit

Hello, I have had this cleaning kit since I was a child, I am wondering if its wartime or post war manufactured. It looks wartime to me but there are no waffenamt markings or date which I would expect to see. In fact none of the pieces have any markings apart from the manufacturer mark on the end, there is also a 64 stamped on the other end. What do I have here? Many thanks.

    If I see correctly , yours is a RG34 for a .22 caliber (5,6 mm)

    Definately a war-time (or better pre-war) item !!

And it is complete as far as I can see (the takedown tool did not belong to a .22 set)

where is the 64 ?? on the oiler ?? (btw, 64 is the maker code for G. Appel)

Thanks for your reply, so this is for a training rifle? The 64 is on the opposite end of the case to the G Appel marking.

    Yes, for training rifle.....

I have only seen them in cases which were just marked G.Appel (and not the 64) but the contents are definately from a .22 set

64 is the code before they started useing cnx

Correct, they are much more rare then the normal ones...... Once in a while they show up on ebay, but you have to know what to look for....

Same goes for the 9mm RG34's (with the extra brush)
