HJ and SS Black canteen covers

Article about: Hello! I have a question - whether there were black covers for canteens for HJ and SS? J. Angolia, in his book "Hitler Youth", wrote that the early HJ canteen covers were black. Is

    Well to be specific: in 1936 the colors mentioned were:
    black (schwarz) for Hitler-Jugend;
    chocolade-brown (schokoladebraun) for SA;
    lighter brown (hellhavanabraun) for political leaders (politische Leiter),
    according Herstellungsvorschriften der RZM, 1936.

    It is very, very surprisingly that when for the labor forces (Werkscharen)
    the felt cover was described, it was as HJ-Grau. So , the darker grey and not black.
    This darker grey was so dark it must have been looked as black.
    All these colors were apparently too much and it was looked for for one color.

    In the course of maybe later 1937 the color changed into one unified color for
    ALL of them (Gliederungen der NSDAP). This as such was mentioned in the
    Herstellungsvorschfiten der RZM from 1938: graubraunmeliert
    (grey-brownish mixed material).

    In the manufacturing-regulations "Herstellungsvorschrift der RZM" from 1936 (page 107),
    the color for the felt was mentioned to be black.
    Well to be specific: in 1936 the colors mentioned were:
    black (schwarz) for Hitler-Jugend;
    chocolade-brown (schokoladebraun) for SA;
    lighter brown (hellhavanabraun) for political leaders (politische Leiter),

    I'm quite confused . I looked at this page, but I think it says about the leather straps (Beriemung) color?

    In the book "Organisationsbuch Der Nsdap, 1937", chapter "Politische Leiter", also says that "hellhavanabraun" - leather straps color, and the cover is "hellbraunem".

    you are right, the colors mentioned are for the leather gear. Sorry!

    But when you read correctly the OB from 1937 you see the felt has
    about the same color as the leather: felt = lighter brown; the leather
    lighter havanna-brown. And so the combination for the HJ was the
    darke rgreyish felt with black leather. This was your question from post 1.

    The shown felt from the Weller-photos, is as what is noted to be
    grey-brown mixed material from 1938. For the RAD it was noted to
    be "erdfarbig meliert" in 1939 (RAD - Handbuch der Verwaltung),
    which largely is the same color.

    Here a drawing from "Die Uniformen der HJ" from 1933:

    Thanks, Wilhelm! In any case, I learned a lot of new information.
    But "the mystery of the black covers" remained unsolved

    I do not understand, the "mystery of the black covers" remained unsolved.
    The SS had black; the HJ had gray (grau). The Werkscharen der DAF had the
    same color as HJ. The Waffen-SS had greyish felt. I cannot find the color for the NSKK
    at this moment.

    The fact that I have not found documents describing the black SS covers, and therefore not exactly sure.
