just got a new GAS MASK & CAN

just got a new (to me) gas mask and can
most of the paint is still an the can ,, it has a small dent ,,the spring catch is marked FRN 43 and the lense box is marked mkg 43 ,,there is no spring or cloth in the can (going to have to find those) no carry straps (going to have to find those as well)
the filter is the usual FE 41,also marked gnh fr ,the ink wafenampt is smudged
the mask is an M30 ,,WaA under flap left cheek ,,1940 under flap right cheek ,under flap on forehead AUER G ,cant make out the numbers ,,the lense screw grips are marked AEG 40,,no spare lenses at the moment ,,but some on the way
what do you guyes think of it ,im pleased

Very nice piece Ian, good luck with getting the accessories you need I think I have the spring that holds the cloth in place at home, I'll send it your way if I can find it next time I'm up the road

it was a last min impuls bid on ebay i was the only bidder ,, some times there is good stuff on ebay , i got it well under its value i think

i know what you mean Ian some are asking £180 with a "BUY IT NOW" in the US,mines in the post from sunday bidding,but the canister isn't as good as yours with regards to condition etc............Jake.

well two sets of lenses have arived ,, geting there slowly ,,just spring,cloth and straps to get (JUST) LOL
i wish it were that easy Danny if you do find a spring it would be much apreciated
