I have just the holder. It's in near perfect shape. The Eagle and all. Now I guess I have to look for the spoon and knife. I'll try to post a picture of it soon.

Hallo !
As far as I can see, the eagle is not holding a Swastika. With the eagle it is an early version. Current item does not have the eagle anymore. These are still in use.
This is post-war Bundeswehr part of the issued "Feldgeschirr" (mess tin and accessories). I have one that I use frequently, bought in a surplus store somewhere in Germany, paid like $ 1.50 for it.
For all I know, this was never issued during the war.

WOW! I did not know those existed / were issued during the war. I still have my dad's original mess tin somewhere with a combination eating tool that he bought privately.
