while we are aware what this instrument is for, I would appreciate any comments on this one. Has anyone seen another one so far?

Really neat, Klaus! Sorry but I've never seen one of these before. At least not a Kriegsmarine one. Just to be sure I'll look through some of my books later. Will this be in your next update?

Klaus: It's a ship's inclinometer that measures the angle the ship rolls to port and starboard. They are mounted on an athwartship bulkhead along the keel line. It can also be used in a U-boat to measure the up or down angle of the bow, in which case it would be mounted on the port and/or starboard hull in the central control room. Dwight

Klaus: I'll go out on a limb on this, but I'm 90% sure that I'm right. At 13.5 centimeter diameter that is probably a U-boat's diving plane station inclinometer. There was one at eye level, directly in front of each sailor who was manning the forward or after diving plane wheel in the central control room. Dwight
