    Hello All, I picked this up at a local high end auction. It was too interesting to pass up. Does anybody have info on it. i have never seen this before nor could i find anything on the internet. Comments and info greatly appreciated.

    Hi, and welcome to the forum!

    This will more than likley be a one off, unique, hand made item. I would almost classify it as "trench art". Most liekly made for an Officer or senior NCO.

    Olmütz is in Moravia, Czechoslovakia.

    Beautifully hand-tooled leather documents holder! The work is Extremely well done! I wouldn't mind having this for my own collection! Excellent find!

    Good point, i Never considered " trench art ". I figured it was custom made for a nco by a parent or loved one. Thanks for the info . Cheers

    Excellent looking item, the work of a true craftsman/artist! I have a wallet my uncle picked up of a german soldier in North Africa with the same leather stitching. Plain leather no relief work! I love this. Congratulations!
